From October 12th to 18th everyone is invited to taste meals based on seasonal ingredients grown in Latvia in five Jelgava Restaurants during the Autumn Restaurant Week.

Gourmets will be greeted by five restaurants in Jelgava – “Chocolate & Pepper” K.Barona Street 6, “Parks” K.Barona Street 3, “Pilsētas elpa” Post (Pasta) Island 1, “Putnu dārzs” Lielā Street 4 and “Tornis” Akadēmijas Street 1.

Jelgava region restaurants “Grantiņi” in Svēte parish, “Aitiņlauvas” in Valgunde parish, “Zemnieka cienasts” in Jaunsvirlauka parish and Ozolnieki region restaurants “Masti Grill & Chill” and “Famille” also invite with a special offer.

Each restaurant will offer its own unique menu, which will only be available during Restaurant Week. This year, the main emphasis is on autumn gifts, which we can find not only in the garden, but also in the forest. Gourmets will be able to taste, for example, autumn vegetable broth with mushroom ravioli or wild mushroom strudel with venison, pikeperch fillet with celery puree and quince – chili chutney. The royal autumn gourd will also be able to taste the vegetarian variation of pumpkin risotto with spinach and caramelized yellow carrots. Plum crumb cake and raspberry mousse with beet biscuit will be one of the autumn desserts to enjoy at the end of the meal.

The special Autumn Restaurant Week offer will be available every day until the end of the restaurant’s opening hours, so it is advisable to make a reservation at the selected restaurant. You will also be able to order for takeaway. Restaurant Week menus and booking information are available on the website www.visit.jelgava.lv
