Thirteen restaurants, cafes, taverns, patisseries, and a manor house in Jelgava and its region will be welcoming visitors. In Jelgava, guests can enjoy autumnal meals at restaurants “Chocolate & Pepper”, “Pilsētas elpa”, “Parks”, “Central cafe”, tavern “Istaba”, bistro “Silva” and tea house “Silva”, as well as Noliktava Nr.2. Meanwhile, in Jelgava County, visitors will be welcomed by “Masti Grill & Chill”, “Meka” restaurant-bar, Svēte Club Cafe, Branku brančotava, and Abgunste Manor.

The autumn “BaudĒŠANA” campaign continues the established tradition of offering local residents and city visitors the chance to discover or rediscover the diversity of Jelgava and Jelgava County’s dining establishments. This year, over the course of the week, visitors will have the opportunity to experience new flavours and food combinations based on gifts from the forest, land, or water. Guests can savour dishes not usually found on the daily menu, such as grilled homemade cheese in rowan syrup on rye seed toast, cauliflower cream soup with blue cheese and roasted onions, porcini mushroom cream soup in a bread bowl, vegetable ratatouille with cheese toast, curd dessert with creamy berry sauce, beef striploin with potatoes, mushrooms, and sweet pepper sauce, creme fraiche panna cotta with apple-cinnamon poached pears in white wine caramel and praline, and many other delights.

It is important to note that some dining establishments will offer their special meals on specific days of the week. Bistro Silva will offer their “BaudĒŠANA” dishes from 14th to 18th October from 10:00 to 17:00, Noliktava Nr.2 from 15th to 19th October from 15:00 to 22:00, Branku brančotava on 18th and 19th October from 12:00 to 15:00 and from 18:00 to 21:00. Abgunste Manor will welcome guests on 18th October at 19:00 and on 20th October at 14:00. Guests are encouraged to book their tables at the manor in advance.

Menus for the “BaudĒŠANA” campaign, as well as the working hours of the dining establishments, will soon be available on www.visit.jelgava.lv, on the Visit Jelgava and Taste Jelgava Facebook pages, as well as on the website of the Jelgava Catering and Hospitality Association: tastejelgava.mozello.lv.

“BaudĒŠANA in Jelgava” takes place twice a year – in spring and autumn. The event is organised by the Jelgava Regional Tourism Centre in cooperation with Jelgava State City, Jelgava County, the Jelgava Catering and Hospitality Association, and local dining establishments.
