At the end of the summer, Jelgava will traditionally gather gourmets, and supporters of healthy and active lifestyle to celebrate the 20th Milk, Bread and Honey Festival that will take place in Duke Jacob’s Square in the city of Jelgava and 18th “Baltais” Milk Pack Boat Regatta. During the regatta, teams will compete in speed and creativity on Driksa River, this event guarantee excitement and entertainment. Everyone is welcome to apply for participation in the regatta until August 24th by filling electronic application form HERE.
Families, friends, and colleagues are welcome to apply for participation in the regatta until August 24th. In order to participate, teams must have bright idea and high-quality building material. JSC “Tukuma piens” will be providing teams with 2000 air-filled “Baltais” milk packs to be used for their boats. Creativeness and innovative ideas will be highly appreciated. Teams are encouraged to think about visual design as well as boat’s safety and buoyancy. Participation in the regatta is a great opportunity to spend quality and active time with your team members. This is a chance to turn ideas into real things, awaken your own inner engineer!
In the square behind Jelgava Culture House, visitors will be able to taste delicious products during Latvian county cheese day. The gourmands will have the opportunity to participate in tastings and fancy culinary contests. Festive atmosphere will be complemented by delicious food made by latvians.
The event is organized by the Jelgava city and municipal institution “Kultūra” in cooperation with JSC “Tukuma piens” and the association “Siera klubs”.
Based on national restrictions, changes may be applied to event plan.
Organizers inform – filming and photography will take place during the event. The captured material may be reproduced and distributed without restriction.
