Public transportation services in Jelgava are provided by Jelgavas Autobusu Parks Ltd. (Jelgava Bus Fleet). The company manages public transportation with buses and small-capacity buses; however, it is possible to rent different means of transport.

Railway
Train is one of the most important means of transport for passenger carriage from Jelgava to Riga and vice versa. There are regular trains from both cities, approximately once in an hour (except for night time from 24:00 to 5:00). The price for one-way ticket is EUR 2,05.
It is also possible to take train to Liepāja.

Intercity Transport
Intercity traffic between Jelgava and Riga is very active. Small capacity buses leave stations every 15 minutes and the ticket costs LVL 2,30.

Airport
The closest airport to Jelgava is Riga International Airport. To get to the airport by public transport you must take the intercity bus to Riga International Coach Terminal and from there find the Central Station (Centrālā stacija) bus stop and take No. 22 bus (for more info check out: www.rigassatiksme.lv/en).
