The sand sculpture park on Pasta Island continues its work. Those who have not yet had the chance to see the sand art pieces can do so every day from 10 AM to 7 PM. So far, the sand sculpture park has been visited by more than 11,000 visitors.

This year, 17 professional sculptors have brought their messages to life in sand on the theme ‘World Fairy Tales.’ The sand sculpture park offers visitors the opportunity to travel through time and around the world – immersing themselves in a fairy tale realm featuring folklore and fairy tale characters, myths, and legends from various cultures. The Little Mermaid, the Snow Queen, Hansel and Gretel, Sprīdītis, the Turkish mythological legend Şahmaran, and the character Kotigoroshko from Ukrainian fairy tales are just a few of the figures sculpted in sand, revealing their stories and reflections while also impressing with their technical execution.

The entrance fee to the sand sculpture park is set at 3 euros for adults, and 2 euros for students, pensioners, and people with disabilities. Tickets can be purchased at the box office on Pasta Island at the entrance to the sand sculpture park.

It should be noted that at the international summer festival ‘Summer Signs 2024,’ the first place was awarded to Artem Samoilov from Ukraine, who depicted a water demon from Slavic mythology. The second place went to Zīle Ozoliņa-Šneidere from Latvia, who represented Sprīdītis, a character found in many folk tales, in her sculpture ‘Wind Tamer.’ This year’s third place was awarded to Lucina Kujawa from Poland for her work ‘King Popiel.
