Residents of Jelgava are invited to visit the photo exhibition ‘Carmel in Photo Moments’ in the foyer of the Jelgava Cultural Centre until June 3, which introduces Jelgava’s newest sister city – Carmel, USA. By viewing the works of local photographers, it is possible to gain an insight into the architecture, culture, and residents of the sister city.
Carmel is Jelgava’s first sister city in the USA, located in the state of Indiana. The exhibition in Jelgava features the works of photographers Brian McGuckin, Beth Maier, Gavin Peters, Luke Wolfla, Arlon Bayliss, depicting the architecture, festivals, people, colourful roundabouts, as well as the overall atmosphere and colours of the USA.
Carmel is a city in Indiana with more than 100,000 inhabitants. It has become Jelgava’s thirteenth friendship city and the first friendship city in the USA.
